Hurray for March
Do you have spring fever? I know I do.
Even though I’m happy to have more snow… the skiing in Utah has been crazy good this year….
I know I have spring fever because:
- I only want to sew 1930’s fabrics.
- I’ve been pouring over seed catalogs.
- I want to change my kitchen curtains to something light and happy.
- I’m ready to clean out every closet in my home.
- I can hardly walk by the primroses on sale at the grocery store without buying a few.
I’ve got more than a few projects going right now. I am busy sewing dresses for my girls and their dolls for their upcoming birthday. I am trying to make them as 1930’s as I can… altering a pattern is always an adventure.
I don’t know why I’m sharing some of my gingham ribbon, except that I’m on a gingham ribbon kick. I’ve been using it as much as I can in every project I can.
Speaking of gingham, I can’t wait to share some of my projects for my twin’s 1930’s American Girl Birthday Party…. more to come on the invitations and the party very soon… It’s going to be very sweet and totally Make it Do…

Will you be there?
Yippee! I will!
This year it’s in my hometown, Salt Lake City. I think it might be like going to heaven with new and lovely fabric as far as the eye can see.
Since so many bloggers are coming in town for the event… a few of us locals (Amy from Diary of a Quilter and Nanette from Freda’s Hive) decided it was the perfect excuse to throw a party! Set your calendar for:
Saturday May 14th
Downtown Salt Lake City
We’ll have yummy food, prizes from our fabulous sponsors… and hopefully YOU!
Check out the site we’ve set up for the event. We’ll be posting all the delicious details very soon….. While you’re there be sure to join our linky party if you are coming to the event. While you’re there, help us spread the word by grabbing a button:
You’re all like good friends, even if we’ve never met! I can’t wait to meet you all in person!
