Since Memorial Day usually marks the unofficial start of Summer, I wish you all warm weather and barbecues.
We are going to be spending today at Historic Camp Floyd in Cedar Valley, Utah. They will be having Civil War Battle Reenactments including weapon and canon demonstrations, hay rides and children’s games. The kids can’t wait.
This weekend has already been incredibly productive…
- I finally weeded in my gardens… the wilderness was threatening to take over. I think we may have held it at bay.
- The weather, at long last, has cooperated and I was able to plant my vegetables with no sign of a frost in the 7 day forecast.
- We picked up coats for the kids for next winter at close out. Of course we buy them big enough for a two year run.
- I spent a lovely part of yesterday in the backyard porch swing soaking in the long awaited sunshine and enjoying a barbecue.
You plans sound like the perfect day! I love reenactments!
This sounded awesome – I wish I would have known! I live in Lehi so it wouldn’t have been too far away! Any suggestions on finding other fun things to do like this?
And, I just have to say (as I have before), I love your blog. Always inspiring!
