A Cleaning Post Is In Order
Actually, cleaning is in order. My house needs it. Bad.
After a couple of weeks of less than stellar health… I’m feeling a little overwhelmed by all that needs to be done.
- I can’t leap over my laundry pile.
- I can write my name on all my furniture.
- Somebody really needs to clean my refrigerator. Anyone? Anyone?
- Don’t get me started on what my toilets look like.
- My tubs and showers need a serious cleanser.
When I say serious, I don’t mean toxic. The product I love and need is Bon Ami. Have you ever used Bon Ami?
It’s over a 120 years old. It’s earth friendly. And it won’t scratch your porcelain. But none of that would matter if it didn’t really work.
And the good news is, it does work. I love Bon Ami for my tubs, shower, and tile. It it works wonders on soap scum, rust stains and it rinses easily.
Did I mention that it is cheap? I purchase my Bon Ami from the Ace Hardware near my home for about $1.50 for a 14 oz. container. I love sharing cleaning tips that are cheap and really work.
So on this snowy day… yes, it’s been snowing on my blooming forsythia and daffodils… I’m breaking out the Bon Ami. I’m scrubbing bathrooms, dusting, mopping and folding laundry.
And at the end of the day, I know I will feel really happy. Nothing makes me happier than warm folded laundry or shiny toilets. Call me crazy.
No, I know what you mean. I’m still feeling like crap but I decided to clean off the kitchen counter and rearrange it and that made me happy. I think it’s about regaining control, don’t you?
I love that stuff! I hope your cleaning goes well today…my house is in desperate shape right now as well, and we have company coming tonight…yikes!!
Love Bon Ami! & a clean house gives me a pep in my step as long as I’m not exhausted by all the work. :) Enjoy the road to recovery…
I just ran out of my cleanser! Maybe I will give it a try. I do however love the smell of cleanser….And I swear that your list looks like mine after every weekend……Monday’s are crazy!!!
I love your blog. I’m giving you the Sunshine Award.
Thanks for the great tip!
