  1. My kids went back to school today and I’ll be a cleaning machine today. I use q-tips for getting into the nooks and crannies of things. I also use it to touch up after I polish my nails. I enjoy the ideas you share on your blog.

  2. My favorite Q-Tip tip is to clean the screen of your smart phone…. those little bezels ONLY get clean with a Q-tip moistened with alcohol and water. Then you flip over the Q-tip and dry it with the other side!

  3. How about cleaning unwanted mascara splotches off your eyelids? Or also around the bathroom sink handles.

  4. I’m planning to watch the video when I get back from the gym. After a summer of minimal house cleaning, I nned to get cracking with the q tips on my house.

  5. I use Q-Tips to clean my computer, my jewelry (works better than that weird brush that came with my jewelry cleaner) and my cat’s ears! Which he *loves*. I also use them for applying medicine- like to my cat’s ears when he digs them.
I like the tip for cleaning my cell phone, I’ll be doing that!

  6. I use Q-tips dipped in rubbing alchol to clean the inside of battery compartments when batteries have corroded…it has saved the life of many electronic toys and gadgets!

  7. I use Q-Tips on anything with buttons, that needs cleaning — phones, remotes, keyboards, appliances, you name it. I use either a little bit of soapy water, or a little bit of rubbing alcohol. Works like a charm!

  8. What don’t I use Q-tips for? I use them for all kinds of things — personal cleaning, house cleaning, detailing many items, etc. I can’t tell you how excited I was to get a specially packed unit from my warehouse store with an extra 150 bonus Q-tips!! My husband just laughed because he knew where my brain went in figuring out what to do with them.

  9. I love using Q-Tips to clean up my newly nail polished fingertips. I always over polish onto my cuticles or finger tips. So I dip a Q-Tip into some nail polish remover and carefully wipe around my polished nails, and TA-DA! Beautifully painted nails.

  10. I use Q-tips for cleaning my ears, cleaning up make-up mishaps and for getting finger nail polish off my fingers after a messy paint job. For the house I use them for cleaning all the nooks and crannies.

  11. I love q-tips for cleaning a lot of little places in my electronic gear. Thanks for the chance to win!

  12. Q-tips are fantastic! One of the things I have learned to clean with them is my laptop keyboard. Getting the top of the keys is easy and canned air does a pretty good job at the rest but those stubborn in between spaces that start to look dingy over time? Q-tips dipped in a teeny bit of window cleaner make my keys all shiny again.
    Thanks!

  13. I like to use Qtips under the handles on the sink faucet and in between the keys on my computer keyboard. (I think I might do that one right after I write this!)

  14. I use Q-tips to clean up any mascara that I get on my eyelids. I also use them when painting my fingernails or toenails to remove any polish I get on my skin.

  15. Q-tips…what would we do without them? I use them for everything, but probably the least ordinary thing I use them for is deep cleaning the outside of my oven. I go around the edges of the oven door and handle with a toothpick, then I follow up with a q-tip dipped in degreaser. A quick buff with a cloth, and my oven looks like new!

  16. I recently used QTips to clean the keys on my piano. They were in serious need of some help and the QTips got right in all the crevices and they look great! I have also used them to clean the grout on my tile surfaces – works great!

  17. I use q-tips to make my manicures and pedicures spectacular! My favorite though is for my ears…oh how it feels great to clean my ears! Don’t know what I would do without them!

  18. I use Q-tips to clean my sewing machine. It is the only thing that will grab all of the lint that gets stuck around the bobbin!

  32. I have a parakeet. His cage has small corners & without a Q-Tip there is no way I could clean it. His bird tray that pulls out has many grooved areas that hold lots of his discarded stuff. Can’t tell you how much better I feel after cleaning it with Q-Tips!

  35. I’ve used q-tips as disposable paintbrushes with water and food coloring for toddlers. They work great and the mess is throw away. Q-tips don’t dig holes in the paper like a plastic paintbrush does.

  36. Up until a couple of weeks ago I was using a Qtip dipped in alcohol to clean my newborn’s belly button/umbilical cord stump, but she is done with that, so we are just using it to clean ears.

After the vents are clean, you can fold a Q-tip in half, then dip the cotton tip ends in scented oils and clip it into the vent. This is an inexpensive alternative to purchasing air fresheners.

My mom, however, came to the rescue with Q-tips! They work wonderfully! I simply spray them with a little furniture polish and a quick zip along each groove and the dust is gone and all is nice and shiny. Thank you Q-tip for making a “bear” of a job more “bearable”.

  61. I use them to clean my watch which somehow manages to get super dirty in the little crevices. Also use them to clean up my eye-makeup everytime I do my makeup :)
