For the Love of Nine Patch- Pattern Book Giveaway
Can I tell you how happy I am to be able to share with you a wonderful new pattern book: For the Love of Nine Patch.
This book is written by two of my mom’s dear friends, Norma Whaley and Joyce Weeks of Geoff’s Mom Pattern Company.
They are not only incredibly talented quilters, they are also wonderful women. They are such great examples to me of hard work, creativity and passion for their art.
I am lucky enough to have a copy of their new book to giveaway today on Make it Do.
Here are a few highlights:
I love this nine patch in a churn dash block table runner pattern. I can just see this runner in 30’s prints on my kitchen table.
Maggie’s Quilt pattern is another one of my favorites from the book. It is designed by Norma in honor of her mother. It looks like a quilt I would love to snuggle under.
This book has a wonderful variety of quilt, table runner, wall hanging and pillow patterns. It’s also full of bits of wisdom and wonderful quotes.

You know I have always loved the 9 patch. They are so versatile. But I also like to make the bow tie block and the hour glass block. Thanks for the giveaway. The book looks awesome!
I’ve never made a quilt, and I would love to learn! I have a wonderful neighbor (aproaching 80) who is an amazing quilter. She walked me through a patchwork placemat. This would be a fun book to work through with her- thanks for the giveaway!

My mom loves the 9 patch. I’m still a beginner and am trying out new stuff. But, the nine patch is something that can be used in so many ways with not much difficulty!

This looks like a fun book. I’ve made some 9 patch quilt pieces. That was fun. I also have a baby blanket I made that has an hourglass pattern. I don’t know if it has a name or not.
I can’t say that I necessarily have a favorite quilt block. I do tend to gravitate to anything that looks good scrappy. Thanks for such a great giveaway.

The Churndash was my very first quilt block and 12 quilts later, (I’m fairly new to this:) it is still my favorite!!

I just love little blocks put together. Postage Stamp is one of my favorites as well as nine-patch blocks.
My favorite is very simple, scrappy 9 patch. It’s what my husbands grandma always made for new babies.

I discovered disappearing nine patch blocks a few months ago and love them! Finished quilts look so complicated but were so easy! I’d love to read about creative ways to use such a great block. Congratulations on the book!

My favorite quilt block is Wyoming Star . Perhaps because I love all of Wyoming !

What is more versatile than basic blocks such as nine patch, it is always nice to find new ideas to use these great blocks.
I like wedding ring quilts.
My favorite is the nine patch because it is the most basic beginner block but is also comfortable in the most intricate and technical quilt.

As a beginner at quilting and not having lots of confidence yet, I can see several projects in my future using this book.

What a gorgeous book! I have too many favorite quilt block patterns. The Chevron is quite popular and trendy these days! I’ve made a few Christmas stockings this year with the Chevron pattern.
