A Normal Day and the Fate of a Weed
Today was just a normal day.
But a normal day can become a great day when your 7 year old has learned the difference a prized foxglove and a weed. And digs that weed out!
Wahoo! I finally have weeders! After years of being the sole and lonely weeder, I want a party to celebrate. OK, Drew occasionally weeds too, but never without complaining.
Emma doesn’t complain, she is actually excited to don her gloves, grab her pint size shovel, and join me in the garden… at least for now.
Look, she’s found a weed to go after. There are lots to choose from.
Check out those calf muscles. If you knew the size of her calves, you would be impressed.
She exclaims victoriously, “Look mom… I got all the roots.”
That’s when a normal day, becomes a great day.
“Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so.” – Author Unknown
