Small and Sweet New Treasures
Last week when my mom gave me my new quilt, she gave me a few other little gifts.
The first was this wonderful Dresden plate trivet. She had spotted one on NanaCompany and couldn’t wait to make one of her own.
I am having a hard time thinking of putting a bubbling casserole on it… but it looks perfect on my kitchen table.
She also made me a new pincushion out of a scrap of Lecien Old New strawberry print fabric. She found the tutorial for the “tomato” pincushion on Martha Stewart.
Last but not least, she made me a new needlebook from a tutorial found on here on nanaCompany.
It’s a sweet and perfect place to keep all my needles (pins too).
I love it so much, it a perfect gift for my few friends that sew. I only wish more of my friends DID sew because my Christmas gifts would be all wrapped up.
I felt like I had made off like a bandit when I left my mom’s home with all my gifts and treasures. Thank you Mom, for thoroughly spoiling me.
Wow you have a great MOM!!!! Absolutely love the pin cushion and the needlebook!
Beautiful gifts!
Wow!
All beautiful gifts….lovely fabric!
I heart nanacompany and can’t wait to make my own needlebook!
Just wanted to say I love your blog….made your short cut lasagna for dinner tonight….big yum!!!
Can’t wait for my son to try it…he is going to think he’s in heaven!!!
I NEVER make lasagna with meat…always vegetarian…this was to easy to resist!
