Sewing School Clothes
Do you buy or sew your kid’s school clothes?
Or like me, do a little of both.
For me, sewing clothes for school seems like a right of passage.
And when you have little pip squeaks of girls like mine, it makes it easier to have clothes that actually fit when they are custom made.
Ever on the look out for patterns that are comfortable, easy to make, and inexpensive, I was thrilled to find the free yoga skirt pattern on Sew, Mama, Sew from Modkid.
It was the perfect pattern to use the new and wonderful stretch knit fabrics from Michael Miller that I had seen at one of my favorite quilt shops, Broadbents in Lehi.
This skirt is quick and easy…. perfect for play or school….
and can be worn with leggings, once the weather turns cool.
My to do list for school is getting shorter and shorter… and the kids at least are getting more and more excited.
In Your Bonnet Giveaway!
Friday afternoon, Kerry from In Your Bonnet dropped me a line.
In Your Bonnet wanted to do a giveaway for the readers of Make it Do!
The giveaway includes their two best selling products, my favorite tube of Heel Thyself and a 4 oz. tin of Bee Balm.
I’ve told you all about how much I LOVE Heel Thyself.
Kerry shared with me more information about Bee Balm, and I can’t wait to try it on our next skin problem. Kerry said, “We have nicknamed the Bee Balm “miracle in a tin” as it treats so many skin problems. We have loyal customers using it for dry skin, burns, insect bites, rashes, eczema, and fever blisters. The 4 oz. tin is nice for home and the 1 oz. tin is perfect for purse or sewing kit.”
Let me also tell you a little more about In Your Bonnet. Kerry Green and her sister Paula Gonzales are hobby bee keepers. They began In Your Bonnet after researching the healing and moisturizing qualities of various herbs and oils.
Kerry said, “Paula and I formulated the recipes and make all the products ourselves. We use only the best natural ingredients and carefully combine them to preserve their integrity.”
