“Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without!”  My mom said her mother had quoted this more than once while she was growing up.  Born in 1925, my grandmother grew up during the Great Depression, and became a mother during WWII.   My mom tells me that my Grandmother knew how to make things lovely even when times were hard.  Lately, as our family has been hit by this Recession, I find myself looking back, thinking about my Grandmother and wondering what tricks I could learn from her….  How can I make life sweet for my family during these hard times?  That is what this Blog is all about:  Taking a lemon and making lemonade.
